Cash At The Lines Sets Hialeah Track Record in Crystal River Stakes Victory

HIALEAH, FL—DECEMBER 21, 2009—Capitalizing on a terrific start, Cash At the Line never looked back and raced to victory in today’s featured race at Hialeah Park, the inaugural Crystal River Stakes for three-year-olds and up.
In doing so, the six-year-old Texas-bred gelding made amends for his loss to odds-on favorite Vital Winner in the Orange Blossom Stakes here November 30 after a poor start, and pushed his career earnings just over the $100,000 mark with his eighth lifetime score.
Racing for Julie Irwin Cotton, the 6-year-old completed the 660 yard course in :31.840 seconds to win by 1 ¼ lengths to earn a career high speed index of 125. The previous track record of :32.885 was established on December 14th by Fantasies Royal.
Saddled by Judd Kearl and ridden by Rodrigo Vallejo, Cash At The Line rewarded his backers with $25.00 win ticket.

Vital Winner had a three-race win streak snapped in defeat and had to settle for second and earnings of $6,480. Racing from the powerful stable of Debra Gotovac, the Easy Winning Jet 5-year-old is trained by Bradley Bolen and was ridden by Alex Baldillez, Jr.
Danny Caldwell's Riden With The King was another ½ length back for third. Saddled by Donnie Strickland and ridden by Thomas Byrd, the Shazoom 4-year-old gelding earned $3,240.
Completing the field were Seeking Daylight, Field Advantage and Me And My Gang.
Live American Quarter Horse racing resumes Tuesday at Hialeah Park and continues four days a week, Sunday through Tuesday, through February 2. This coming Sunday, December 27, will be a Super Stakes Day at Hialeah Park, featuring both the $100,000 Hialeah Laddie and Lassie Futurities and an all-stakes pick four. Gates open at 1:00 and first post is 2:05 p.m.
