FQHRA would like to announce that new Grade 1 stallions have been added to the 2012 FQHRA Stallion Service Auction.

FQHRA would like to announce that new Grade 1 stallions have been added to the 2012 FQHRA Stallion Service Auction.  We want to thank all the stallion owners and farms that participate in the FQHRA auction also and especially thank the farms and owners that donated stallion services to the FQHRA Scholarship Fund. This year stallions standing at A&A Ranch in New Mexico, Delta Equine in Louisiana, James Ranch in Oklahoma, Double S Ranch in Texas and AVS Equine Hospital in Florida have been donated specifically for the FQHRA Scholarship Fund. Last year stallions from Granada Farm in Texas, Burns Ranch in California, Joneson Ranch in Oklahoma, Robicheaux Ranch in Louisiana and AVS Equine Hospital in Florida were donated to the fund. The FQHRA SSA ends January 7, 2012 at 7pm eastern. Any stallions still listed after that point will be first come first serve.

Along with the FQHRA Stallion Stakes Futurity $92,210 in 2011 and the FQHRA Stallion Stakes Derby $54,570 in 2011 which will be run 12/30/2011, FQHRA is also proud to announce the 2015 $200,000 Guaranteed Florida Bred Futurity for accredited Florida bred foals conceived in 2012. All accredited Florida breds placing 1st through 4th in any Florida race have the ability to earn an extra 20% for the owners and breeders.

FQHRA continually works to provide more quality QH racing opportunities in Florida and to improve the quality of the racing that we have now. We appreciate the support of all the owners, trainers and breeders and QH industry leaders across the country that have helped make QH racing in Florida a success. Your continued support will lead to more races and more money and better quality race tracks along with eventual year around racing in Florida.

Thanks to all the FQHRA members whose support has allowed us to have the 2015 $200,000 Guaranteed Florida Bred Futurity. That race is the first major step towards putting the Florida bred program on the top tier with the nations’ leading state bred programs. Your support and membership is critical for continued growth of the Florida bred program.

Happy New Year.
