Dr. Steve Fish / President Dr Steve Fisch is a 1982 graduate of the University Of Georgia College Of Veterinary Medicine. He is the founder and owner of AVS Equine Medical & Surgical Hospital which is a full service equine hospital and reproductive center in Tallahassee, Florida. Dr. Fisch has been involved with racing American Quarter Horses since his childhood. He was a jockey at several bush tracks and he also raced at Green Acres Raceway back when it was an official AQHA track and at Gator Downs in Jacksonville, Florida. Dr. Fisch raced American Quarter Horses in Louisiana, Texas, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Florida in the 1980’s and 1990’s. He was also a partner in the ownership of the Grade 1 stakes winning and siring stallion Frisco Flare. He and his wife, Kelley, recently started Flying Fisch Farm, their breeding operation. They will be breeding their mares to First Down Straw, Papa Larry, & Wave Carver in 2007. Dr. Fisch is very excited about the new track in Jasper, Florida.
Dr. Fisch’s family is all very horse oriented. His three daughters Jessica, Casey, and Zoey all love and show horses and his son Joe Fisch, DVM is an excellent horseman and a veterinarian at their equine hospital. His wife, Kelley, is the breeding coordinator at their hospital.
Pamela M. Robb / Vice President
Pamela M. Robb (Pam) is a fifth generation Floridian and has been a Quarter Horse Breeder for over fifteen (15) years. She is also a licensed Thoroughbred trainer and has owned, raced, and bred Thoroughbred horses since 1995, racing in Maryland, West Virginia, Virginia, Minnesota, Ohio, Massachusetts, and North Dakota, in addition to Florida. She also serves on the Board of Directors of the Tampa Bay Downs Horsemens Benevolent and Protective Association (H.B.P.A.) Pam’s equine activities are centered at her farm, Sylvania South in Oxford, Florida. She has been a practicing attorney in the Orlando area since 1979, and is a graduate of the University of Florida College of Law and College of Arts and Sciences. She has practiced law at her own firm of Pamela Milton Robb, P.A. in Winter Garden, Florida since 1992.
William H. Fisch, CPA / Treasurer William H. Fisch, CPA, was born and raised in Ft. Worth, Texas. His father was an owner and Sales Manager of Justin Boot Company. He also owned a cattle ranch outside of Ft. Worth. Will is a graduate of Texas A&M University and retired as Professor Emeritus from the University System of Georgia in 1998. He has owned several Quarter Horses that raced on Florida tracks.
Robert G. Bentley / Secretary Robert G. Bentley was born in Miami, Florida and lived there 5 years. His family then moved to Haines City when he grew up and lived for 22 years.While growing up in Haines City, he started working for veterinarians Dr. Robert Caldwell and Dr.Bob Downing where he was introduced to Leroy Combee, a local horse owner and trainer who taught him to be a jockey at age 15. He was first licensed at Pompana Park in !973 and continued racing until 1997 at many racetracks around the nation. He took a break from racing for four years and became a Surveyor. He then returned to breaking and training horses, as he does today. He and his wife Marcy have been married for 22 years and have three children, Clint, Heath, and Sara and live in Flagler County.
